Brigadier General Frank Lackland was born in 1884 and graduated from West Point in 1907. Lackland’s Early Life
Lackland was born in 1132, the fourth son of Henry I of England and Matilda of Boulogne. He was an unpopular king from the very start, and was seen as a weak ruler. His nickname, “Lackland”, reflects this perception. Lackland’s early life was plagued by conflict with his father, who preferred his older brothers over him. This resulted in a number of rebellions against Henry I, including one led by Lackland’s own mother, Matilda. As a result of these rebellions, Lackland was exiled from England on several occasions.
Despite all this conflict, Lackland did eventually inherit the throne upon his father’s death in 1135. However, he faced even more challenges as king. One of the biggest was the Anarchy, a civil war that broke out in England between 1139 and 1153. The Anarchy was caused by a power struggle between two rival factions: those loyal to King Stephen (Lackland’s cousin), and those loyal to Empress Matilda (Lackland’s mother). The war ended with a victory for King Stephen, but it left England in a state of chaos and destruction.
Lackland died in 1154, after only four years on the throne. He is widely considered to be one of England’s worst kings.
Lackland’s Military Career
Lackland Air Force Base is named after General Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., who was the first African American to become a general in the United States Armed Forces. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lackland, our much-loved family dog. He was a loyal and loving companion who will be deeply missed by all of us.
Lackland was found dead in his kennel early this morning, and we suspect that he may have been poisoned. The authorities are investigating, but whoever did this vile act will be brought to justice.
We are all devastated by Lackland’s death and would like to ask for privacy at this difficult time. Thank you for your support.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Lackland. He was a cherished member of our family, and will be deeply missed.
Lackland was always the life of the party, and his infectious smile could light up a room. He loved making people laugh, and was always quick withered a clever quip. He had a heart for adventure, and loved nothing more than exploring new places and meeting new people.
Lackland was taken from us too soon, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. We will forever cherish our memories of him, and keep him close to our hearts.
